3D Printed G43X Build Kit Overview

The 3D Printed G43X Build Kit gives you everything needed to complete your DD43.2 frame in one package. No more sourcing slimline parts from four different vendors and hoping they all work together. This kit includes the complete slide, frame parts, locking block, and precision rails, all matched for the DD43.2 platform.

The Glock 43X sits in a sweet spot for concealed carry. You get the slim single-stack profile of the G43 with a longer grip that holds 10+1 rounds instead of 6+1. For 3D printed pistol builders, the DD43.2 frame lets you build that same capability at home. Print your frame, install these components, and you have a functional slimline 9mm.

What’s Included in This 3D Printed Glock 43X Kit

Complete Glock 43X Slide
Full slide assembly ready for your build. The 43X slide shares dimensions with the G48 but pairs with the shorter G43 barrel. Includes all internals and sights. Compatible with standard G43/43X holsters and aftermarket accessories.

FMDA DD43.2 Rail
Precision-formed stainless steel rails built for the DD43.2 mounting system. The slimline Glock platform requires tighter tolerances than the double-stack frames, and these rails are manufactured specifically for that fitment. No-screw rear rail system for easier assembly and better frame durability.

Glock 43X Locking Block
CNC machined from 17-4 stainless steel. The locking block is critical for safe operation, keeping the barrel locked during firing and controlling unlock timing. This block is made to OEM specifications for the G43X platform.

Glock 43X Frame Parts Kit
Complete lower parts for your slimline build: trigger assembly, trigger housing with ejector, connector, all springs, slide stop, slide lock, pins, and magazine catch. These parts are specific to the 43X/48 platform and won’t interchange with double-stack Glocks.

Why Build a 3D Printed Glock 43X

Best Capacity in a Slim Package
The G43X frame holds 10 rounds flush-fit in a grip that’s still narrow enough for comfortable all-day carry. That’s the same capacity as many compact double-stacks in a package that disappears under a t-shirt. With Shield Arms magazines, you can push it to 15+1 in the same footprint.

One Kit, No Compatibility Guesswork
Slimline Glock parts aren’t as common as G19 components, so finding compatible pieces can be frustrating. We matched everything in this kit to work together on the DD43.2 frame. The slide fits the rails, the lower parts match the trigger housing, and the locking block is the correct spec. You’re building, not troubleshooting.

Proven Frame Design
The DD43.2 frame was developed by the FMDA community specifically for the slimline platform. It uses the improved DDxx.2 rear rail system that’s been refined across thousands of builds. The documentation and community support for this design are solid.

What Else You Need for Your 3D Printed G43X

DD43.2 Frame (You Print This)
Files are available free from DEFCAD, Odyssee, and The Gatalog. Search for “DD43.2” or look for CTX43x and similar remixes compatible with DD43.2 rails. PLA+ is the standard recommendation. The slimline frame requires more print precision than double-stack models, so follow the included settings closely.

Magazine
OEM Glock 43X magazines work perfectly. For higher capacity, Shield Arms S15 magazines fit the G43X/48 platform and hold 15 rounds in the same footprint. Note that Shield mags require a metal magazine catch, which is not included.

Basic Tools
Punch set, hammer, and a bit of patience. The slimline platform can be more finicky to assemble than a G19, but plenty of video tutorials cover the process.

3D Printed G43X Build Kit FAQ

Is this a complete 3D printed Glock 43X kit?
This kit includes all the metal and internal components needed to complete a DD43.2 3D printed frame. You provide the printed frame (free files available online) and a magazine. Everything else is in the box.
What’s the difference between the G43, G43X, and G48?
The G43 is the original single-stack with a short grip holding 6+1 rounds. The G43X has an extended grip for 10+1 while keeping the short G43 slide length. The G48 pairs that same longer grip with a longer G48 slide. The DD43.2 frame uses 43X dimensions with the extended grip.
Will G43 parts work with this kit?
Some parts interchange between the G43 and G43X, but not all. The lower parts kit, locking block, and rails in this kit are specific to the 43X platform. Don’t try to mix and match parts between different slimline models without verifying compatibility.
Where do I get DD43.2 print files?
DEFCAD, Odyssee, and The Gatalog host the files for free. Look for DD43.2 or compatible remixes like CTX43x. Print settings and assembly instructions are included in the download.
Is this harder to build than a G19?
Slimline builds can be more demanding. Tighter tolerances mean less room for error in printing and assembly. If this is your first 3D printed Glock, a DD19.2 might be an easier starting point. If you’re comfortable with the process, the DD43.2 is very achievable.
Is building a 3D printed ghost gun legal?
Federal law allows individuals to manufacture firearms for personal use without a license. State and local laws vary, and some places restrict or prohibit home-built firearms. Check your local laws before you order.
Can I use Shield Arms S15 magazines?
Yes, but you’ll need a metal magazine catch designed for the S15. The standard polymer mag catch can wear prematurely with metal magazines. Shield sells compatible catches separately.
Is the slide assembled?
The slide ships complete with all internals and sights installed. Unlike our G17 and G19 kits, this one is ready to drop onto your completed frame.
